Chase Learn to Swim

Chase Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club that also offer a Learn to Swim programme. We are affiliated to Swim England and we run the Swim England award system. You can gain your swim safety awards with the Duckings programme and then move onto Stages 1-7 before trialling for a place in our Academy Squad for your journey into competitive swimming.

Swimmers will be allocated a swim session dependant on availability and the stage at which you child is currently swimming at. This decision will be jointly made by the teachers and swim co-ordinator.

We take on all ages of swimmers and abilities but generally start at age 3. If you are unsure of what stage your swimmer is at, please arrange for a trial and we will recommend the correct session time.

All swimmers will be progressed through the stages in line with the Learn to Swim Swim England syllabus and will be awarded certificates and badges based on their achievements that are available to purchase during badge week from the club.

Many of our swimmers in our learn to swim programme progress through the stages really well and have the opportunity to start their journey within the squads. This normally takes place around 8 years old if your swimmer is showing potential and ability to venture into the world of competitive swimming. Your swimmer does have to attain the age of 9 years old before they can start to compete at competitions with the club.
