Our coaching team at Chase Swimming Club offer a wide range of Coaching experience

We have Coaches that are Swim Teachers, as well as previous competitive swimmers that are starting out on their Coaching Careers with the wealth of first hand experience, including our more experienced Coaches who come with lots of knowledge of the competitive environment and understand how to progress our swimmers to all competitive stages. We are also proud to still have our previous Head Coach who is now the Club President on hand to offer all our staff support and mentoring.

Many of our Coaching Team were or still are active Swimmers, competing at Masters and County Level competitions, as well as Open Water & Triathlon events across the UK.

Our coaching team pride themselves in taking part in Continuous Professional Development Programmes, ensuring they are current, up-to-date and able to offer the best advice and coaching knowledge available to our athletes.

Callum Yates

Head Coach

Callum Yates progressed to our Development Coach in the Summer 2022 and Chase Swimming Club are now delighted to start the new season September 2024 having appointed Callum as the new Head Coach.

Callum has lead the development of the Chase Academy and Junior swimmers over the last few years, usually the first squad that swimmers will join when entering the club and is ready to take on the challenge of leading the club into greatness.

Callum works with a number of skilled coaches and is amazing at encouraging the best out of the children from Learn to Swim all the way up to the Senior swimmers.

Caitlin Cooke

Coach

Caitlin has been a member of Chase Swimming Club for 15 years and she has been competing with the Club for 13 of those, reaching County Level. At the age of 14 she started volunteering as a teaching assistant in Learn to Swim and has now progressed to being one of our coaches and more recently enjoying coaching our Academy Squad whilst supporting other squad sessions too. Caitling has completed her J2 which means she also officiates for us when needed.

Its great to have all that competitive experience being passed down to our swimmers.

Andy Cooke

Assistant Coach

Andy is an Assistant Coach at Chase Swimming Club. He joined the club as a parent in 2009 and a few years later began helping with the team managing and became open meet secretary. His passion turned into coaching the swimmers and is an amazing coach.

Swimming has always played a large part in Andy's life, having competed in swimming, water polo and life-saving events from an early age.

Aid Street

Assistant Coach

Aid is an Assistant Coach and loves giving back to the swimmers. It is where he gets most enjoyment, and is always looking for ways to improve his knowledge of swimming and coaching, so he can invest that knowledge into the swimmers.

Aid states the most rewarding part of being involved with Chase is knowing that he has improved a swimmer, however small that maybe.
