Paul Grainger

Learn to Swim Co-ordinator 

Paul Grainger is the former Head Coach of Chase Swimming club and now co-ordinates our Learn to Swim programme, whilst also mentoring the coaches and teachers, helping transfer his significant knowlege and experience for the benefit of our swimmers.

Paul joined the club as a Junior Coach in 1990, following the clubs request for additional teaching helpers. Having enjoyed the completive swimming environment with his young sons, Paul jumped at the chance to channel his passion for sport into the development of local swimming talent.

During his time as head Coach, Paul has helped progressively increase the clubs presence at both county and regional competition levels.

Paul has achieved Level 2 teaching and coaching qualification, along with a Level 3 coaching qualification. He has also regularly attended as a coach on the British Swimming Talent Camps.

Paul enjoys many sports and has previously competed in both badminton and table tennis. He is a life long supporter of West Bromwich Albion football club and regularly visits the Hawthorns.

 

Eliza-Rae Edwards

Swim Teacher

Eliza-Rae is an ex-competitive swimmer for Chase and is currently a Master swimmer. Eliza-Rae has been teaching swimming for a number of years and holds a Swim England Level 2 qualification for teaching. 

Eliza-Rae is amazing with the young swimmers and prides herself on getting the results for her swimmers and watching them move up through the stages. 

 

Eve Killeen

Swim Teacher 

Eve is one of our newest trained teachers having being training in the role for a number of years. Eve started as an Aquatic Helper as a volunteer whilst she completed her Duke of Edinburgh Silver award. She liked it so much that she carried on working with the team as loved helping the young swimmers. Eve is really great with helping our youngest swimmers who have no confidence in the water and works her magic to get even the most worried swimmer in the water. Eve is currently a Senior swimmer for Chase and has represented the club at County, Regional and National Championships. 

Eve has a STA Level 2 Award for teaching swimming qualification and really does love working with the Ducklings. 

 

Luke Collins 

Swim Teacher

Luke is also one of our newest trained teachers having being training in the role for some time now.Luke started swimming at Chase Learn to Swim when he was 5 years old before progressing into the Squads. He has swum for Chase for the last 10 years and has represented the club in various leagues as well as County and Regional Championships. Luke started helping out in Learn to Swim in 2021 and has recently passed his STA Level 2 Award in teaching and is also a qualified life guard. Luke works really well with the older swimmers getting them prepped for their Academy Squad trials.
