Our Squads
Learn to Swim
Swimming lessons are available from age 3 upwards.
Swimmers are divided into groups according to ability and will progress through designated awards schemes with certificates and badges to show achievement.
Many of these swimmers progress in to the Academy Squad from after a successful trial going into competitive swimming.
Academy Squad
Available to swimmers aged 6+ that are beginning training in preparation to compete from age 9. These swimmers are learning the basics of competitive swimming, including starts, turns and stroke technique.
Junior Squads
Swimmers are generally aged between 8-10 years old, that have either moved from the Academy Squad or who have completed a successful trial. These swimmers are starting to swim competitively at open meets and if selected for teams at the Leagues the club competes in.
Senior Squads
Swimmers generally aged 13 and over by invitation of the Head Coach, dependent on ability and achievement to date. Usually but not always swimming at Regional and National level.
Masters Squad
Swimmers aged 18 and over, either competitive or for keeping fit
