AP Event London 2023
May 30th 2023What an amazing experience for two Chase swimmers Charlotte Surrell and Bethan Cooke this weekend, competing at the AP Race London International.
The AP event is first of its kind in the London Aquatics Centre since the 2012 Games and welcomed some of the best swimmers from across Europe and beyond to finalise their race preparations just 6 weeks out from the World Championships.
Charlotte Surrell competed fantastically in three events and made it to the Superfinals in all three, acheiving personal best times, and the following placings:
- 3rd place in 400m free final
- 5th place in 400m IM final
- 3rd place in 800m free final
Bethan Cooke also performed superbly, competing in three disciplines. She made it to Superfinal in 50m back, 100m free and 200m IM. Bethan also won the B final race in the 50m freestyle.
Well done to both swimmers, fantastic performances and results.
