Chase Swimming Club Champs 2026: A Weekend to Celebrate

What a fantastic weekend it was for Chase Swimming Club Championships 2026. The atmosphere poolside was brilliant from start to finish, with swimmers, coaches, officials, volunteers and families all helping to make the event such a success.

This year’s championships were especially memorable as they were our first club champs using the new starting blocks. The swimmers loved them, and it was great to see so much confidence, excitement and energy on the blocks throughout the weekend.

There were also loads of personal bests across the events, which is a brilliant achievement at this stage of the season. Every PB reflects the hard work the swimmers have already put in during training, and it was fantastic to see so many of them rewarded with strong performances in the pool.

A special well done also goes to the seven of our Learn to Swim swimmers who have successfully been promoted into the Academy Squad. This is a fantastic milestone for those swimmers right at the start of their swimming journey, and we are excited to see them continue to grow, develop and enjoy the sport with Chase Swimming Club.

Congratulations to Our New Club Captains

We were also delighted to announce our new club captains for the year ahead. Congratulations to Pippa Street and Wil Barker, who have been chosen as our Junior Club Captains, and to Erin Houlston and Alex Popham, who will take on the role of Senior Captains.

We know they will be fantastic role models for our swimmers and great representatives for Chase Swimming Club throughout the season.

A Brilliant Fundraising Effort

A huge thank you goes to everyone who supported our fundraising over the weekend. Together, so far, we have raised approximately £1,500, which is an incredible total and will make a real difference to the club.

Events like this take a lot of time, energy and teamwork to organise, so thank you to every volunteer, official, coach, parent, carer and supporter who helped make the championships run so smoothly.

Another proud moment for the club was finally being able to purchase and put up our new trophy cabinet. This now allows us to showcase the legacy trophies from over the years, giving everyone the chance to see and celebrate the previous successes of Chase swimmers throughout the club’s history.

Looking Ahead

Although the main championship weekend has now taken place, we still have two distance meets to go. After that, we can look forward to our Presentation Evening in November, where we will celebrate the season so far and hand out all those well-earned trophies.

Well done to every swimmer who took part in Chase Swimming Club Champs 2026. It was a weekend full of effort, achievement and club spirit, and we cannot wait to see what the rest of the season brings.
