Paul Granger's final training session

They were mixed emotions for Chase swimmers as Paul Granger completed his final training session as head coach. Paul was given a heartfelt and appreciative sendoff from the senior and intermediate squads, leaving the pool in a plastic inflatable boat, to the distinctive sounds of ‘Simply the best’ by Tina Turner 

The event also marked the ceremonial transition of head coaching responsibilities to Ross Hill. Ross, an ex-chase swimmer, was presented with his head coach T-shirt and very own board eraser. Everyone at the club wishes Ross the best of luck moving forwards. 

Those attending the celebration including Parents, swimmers, committee members and colleagues, all took the opportunity to thank Paul for his years of dedication and hard work. Without these superb efforts Chase would not be the respected and successful club it is today. 

Paul now leaves for a well deserved vacation to New Zealand and we look forward to his continuing assistance and mentoring, on his return.
