Chase SC meet Paralymic swimmer Ellie Simmonds

In October 2016, the Mayor of Walsall held a reception and afternoon tea party for Ellie Simmonds, following her return from the Rio Paralympic Games. Ellie is a local swimmer, having grown up and attended school in Walsall, and swum at local club Boldmere. She has achieved significant success at the European and World Championships as well as at the Paralympic Games, where she first
competed in Beijing in 2008 aged just 13, winning two Gold medals.

Representatives of local swimming clubs, including Chase, were invited to meet Ellie and to have afternoon tea with the Mayor.
